One fateful October, as the first snow threatened the Mountains with winter, 

the Moon stopped her dedicated revolution around the Sun. 

Her axis and being in total flux, she barreled past the stars toward Earth,

finally crashing into the depths of the Pacific. 

She happily surrendered to the refreshing salt water and hypnotic rhythm of the Sea,

relieved to rest and cool down after her incredible journey through the galaxy. 

As Lunar and Oceanic elements intermingled, 

a strange spring of cosmic energy arose from the waves,

saturating the California coast and its inhabitants with a unique creative spirit:

Birthing a land of inspiration and chance for dreamers that do.

Following this aquatic hibernation, the Moon eventually returned to her throne in the sky. 

From her perch in heaven, she lovingly revolves around the many lives of Earth...

Instead of one scorching, burning Sun. 

While the Moon and the Sea are now separated,

she still pulls on the heartstrings of the wild water that once bathed her, 

sending the tides in and out with her waxing and waning emotions.

Similarly the lonely Sun, by himself at the center of the universe, still shines upon her from afar...

delicately lighting the night as her fickle moods allow

Not to be forgotten across space nor time.
